At Luxmi Education Centre, we know that Year 6 is a pivotal year for every child. It marks the end of Key Stage 2, with pupils preparing for their SATs while also getting ready to transition confidently into secondary school. Our Year 6 programme is designed to support pupils in achieving their best, consolidating their knowledge, and developing the independent learning skills they will need in Year 7 and beyond.

In English, pupils refine their reading comprehension skills, strengthen their grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and practise extended writing tasks to ensure fluency and accuracy. In Mathematics, lessons focus on mastery of key topics such as fractions, decimals, percentages, ratio, algebra, geometry, and multi-step problem solving. We place strong emphasis on applying knowledge under timed conditions, mirroring the demands of the SATs.

Beyond exam preparation, our Year 6 courses also build resilience, organisation, and independent study habits. Pupils are encouraged to take ownership of their learning, develop critical thinking, and gain the confidence to tackle new challenges.

By the end of Year 6, pupils will have not only secured strong SATs outcomes but also built the skills, confidence, and mindset required for a successful start to secondary school.
