At Luxmi Education Centre, we recognise that not every pupil will sit the 11+ exam, but every child deserves the opportunity to thrive academically and develop a love of learning. Our Year 5 programme is designed to strengthen subject knowledge, boost confidence, and prepare pupils for the challenges of the upper Key Stage 2 curriculum and the transition to secondary school.

Our English lessons build on pupils’ comprehension, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary, while placing greater emphasis on structured, extended writing and the ability to express ideas clearly and creatively. In Mathematics, children consolidate their knowledge of multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, and problem-solving, with a strong focus on applying skills to real-life contexts.

Alongside academic progress, we nurture essential study skills such as organisation, resilience, and independent learning, ensuring that pupils feel confident and well-prepared for Year 6 and beyond. Each lesson is delivered in small groups by experienced UK-qualified teachers, with one-to-one guidance available to ensure every child makes meaningful progress.
